What I do with your information

Short version: I only collect what I need to answer you, I do not track you around the internet, and I will delete your details the moment you ask.
Who is asking
This site is run by AP, a salesperson registered with OMVIC (#5880331) working at the Bramgate Volkswagen Pre-Owned Centre, 268 Queen St E, Brampton, ON L6V 1B9. The vehicles shown are Bramgate Volkswagen inventory and any sale is completed by Bramgate Volkswagen, so once a deal is under way Bramgate's own privacy practices apply to the paperwork.

What I collect, and only when you send it
Nothing on this site is collected in the background. Information reaches me only when you choose to fill in one of the three forms and press send.

Please do not send your SIN, driver's licence number, banking details or credit information through these forms. Nothing here needs them. Credit applications are handled separately and securely through Bramgate's finance office.
Where it goes
Form submissions are delivered to my email inbox by FormSubmit, a third-party form-relay service. Your message passes through their systems on the way to me, so their privacy terms apply to that step. The email itself lands in a Microsoft Outlook mailbox.
I use what you send to answer you and, if you are buying or selling, to prepare that deal with Bramgate. I do not sell, rent or trade your information, and I do not add you to a marketing list without you asking.
Other companies involved in showing you this page
- Netlify hosts the site. Like any web host, its servers keep standard access logs that include your IP address.
- SM360 / img.sm360.ca serves the vehicle photographs. They come straight from Bramgate's image service, which means your browser requests them from SM360 and your IP address is visible to that service.
- Links to CARFAX, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube only load if you click them, at which point you are on their site under their rules.
Typefaces are served from this site itself, so no font provider sees your visit.
What stays on your own device
When you save a vehicle with the heart icon, that list is stored in your browser's local storage on your device. It is never transmitted to me and I cannot see it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
How long I keep things
Enquiries stay in my email while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to it. Records connected to a completed vehicle sale are kept by Bramgate for as long as Ontario law requires them to be. If you want your enquiry deleted sooner, just ask and I will remove it.
Your rights
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) you can:
- ask what information about you I hold;
- ask me to correct anything that is wrong;
- withdraw your consent and ask me to delete your details;
- complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you think I have handled your information badly.
Call or email me and I will deal with it. You will not be charged and it will not affect how you are treated as a customer.
Children
This site is meant for people old enough to buy or sell a vehicle and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
